As a kid I dreamed of traveling the world and making feature films, but wasn’t sure how I'd realize such dreams. As an adult I hope to encourage others with similar aspirations and challenges. I’m the youngest of 2 children. I fell in love with international travel while studying in Madrid, Spain as a junior at Kalamazoo College. Upon graduating in 1994, I embarked upon a life of filmmaking, teaching, and community service. I served 3 years as a professor at Full Sail, 1 year as a professor in Indiana, and 10 years as an art director in NYC, all while making films that hopefully dont suck--and give back too! As a filmmaker, I've prepped a project for Honduras starring Edward James Olmos, and had two films screen at the Cannes Film Fest Market and win awards. My passion for experiential learning has kept my budgets at a minimum, while still making quality films that have been offered distribution. This blog chronicles those travels, as well as my newest chapter: writing & directing a whole new film in Florida. Please share it with those who have big dreams, but limited resources. km9000{at}gmail.com
